Legal Warning Under Indian Law
Placing fraudulent orders, creating dummy accounts, using stolen payment credentials, or intentionally refusing delivery of verified Cash on Delivery (COD) consignments constitutes criminal deception punishable under Section 420 and 415 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 66C and 66D of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
1. Proactive Fraud Prevention Measures
Just For Beauty utilizes multi-layered behavioral analysis and algorithmic fraud screening to protect transactions:
- Automated IP & Rate Limiting: High-frequency checkout requests, automated bot scripts, and suspicious proxy networks are detected and restricted in real-time.
- Device & Session Integrity: Verifies browser fingerprinting, TLS encryption ciphers, and valid session origins to detect automated form injection.
- COD Verification Protocol: Cash on Delivery orders above ₹1,500 or from new accounts may require telephonic or WhatsApp OTP confirmation prior to dispatch.
- Address Sanitization: Incomplete, fictitious, or blacklisted pin codes and addresses are automatically flagged for manual review.
2. Cash on Delivery (COD) Abuse Policy
To maintain fair pricing and prevent logistics losses from non-genuine orders:
RTO (Return to Origin) Restrictions
Customers with repeated unprovoked doorstep refusals will have the COD payment option permanently disabled on their account.
Pre-Dispatch Confirmation
Our verification team will confirm your order details. Unconfirmed orders after 3 contact attempts within 48 hours are automatically cancelled.
3. Reporting Unauthorized Charges
If you notice an unauthorized charge on your credit card, debit card, or UPI app bearing the descriptor "Just For Beauty":
- Immediately inform your issuing bank to block the affected card/UPI handle.
- Email our anti-fraud response unit at grievance@justforbeauty.in with the transaction amount, date, and transaction reference number.
- Our team will immediately flag the transaction, halt shipment of any linked parcel, and assist your bank in expedited charge reversal.
